Q: What is PS3 Trophies?
A: Ps3 Trophies is an Android app that shows your PSN Profile, Games, Trophies and Friends data and statistics and will allow you to make compare yours with theirs.
Q: Do I have to login to use this application?
A: No. You can use PS3 Trophies without logging in with your PSN Account. You only need your username. Without logging in, though, you won’t be able to see your Friend List and use the compare statistics feature,
Q: If I choose to log in, how secure is my login information?
A: Your email and password are sent to Sony’s Site using HTTPS (secure), which, returns a ID-like number that I use instead of your log in information to get your Friend List and other information that requires you to be logged in to be retrieved.
The email and password are only stored on the phone in a secure form, and is only used as explained above.
Q: How does PS3 Trophies work?
A: This app consumes some services at www.ps3argentina.com.ar that get the relevant data from Sony’s site. Some of this information is cached for performance.
The Friend List is regenerated from Sony’s site every 5 minutes so we can keep it updated. Games and Trophies are regenerated every 1 hour.
Q: Why are some games/trophies missing from my list?
A: If you choose not to use PSN Login, some games will not appear in your list, the same happens with your trophies.
If you choose to login, some trophies will not show because they might be Hidden Trophies (will only show if you unlock them).
If you see some missing games/trophies that should appear in your list, please provide feedback at benexusg at gmail dot com
Q: Why is this app free?
A: I live in Argentina and the Android Market only allows free applications to be submitted, but you can donate if you like my work. That will help me to pay for the hosting and to develop more functionality for this app (and maybe other apps)

PS3 Trophies LITE is my first application on the Android Platform. I started working on it as soon as I got my Droid. The app will provide with your profile information, games list and trophies. There will be a friend list so you can check your friends status, wich game they are playing, and view their trophies. I will be updating the app everytime I have something new to show you.
The app is free and will remain the same, but if you like it, feel free to donate.

So I downloaded ps3 trophies, abd when I do it tells me that I can’t properly sign in and can’t access my friends. I am doing a psn login, and live in the usa. What’s going on?
Hi karl, for US users, you have to login at http://eu.playstation.com with your existing US account and make sure youo can see your friends there.

How do i send sms to my friends ?
It seems that it takes a few days for the trophies from my ps3 to sync to the app. Is there a way to speed this process up?
Information is being read from Sony’s site every 12 hours. So, if there is a delay, check first on sony’s site.

In the older version i could refresh my trophies and games manualy. is there a possability to do this in this version too?

Ever scince the new update the app isn’t working at at all…before I could sign in and see my level and a list of most of the games I played just no friends list (usa) but now it won’t even sign me in it says network error every time..but I have a good connection and I’m running on wifi half the time!! Please fix this problem I really love this app its great!!! I hope I can use it again soon!!!
So……the update fixted the app!! but I still can’t see my friends list. I can log in to the eu.playstation site and see my friends there but it still doesn’t work on the app?? Is it because my origional account was made in n.america?? Is there a way you could pull info from the n.a. site as well as the argentina psn servers?? Hi1, login takes place on Sony EU servers. Sometimes this servers are under maintenance.

I like the idea of both apps, however, neither seem to work for me. PS3Trophies always tells me “Cant get Profile Information or User doesnt Exist”, even though i’m synced up at eu.playstation.com, and can see my friends list there. PS3Widget always says “There was a Server Error. Please try again later” How do I fix either/ both problems?
it’s been 4 days with still no help…have these apps been abandoned?

as before, neither work. the app shows trophies, but no friends. the widget still always says server error.
I am a tmobile user it tells me that it can’t get the login info or my name doesn’t exist. It used to work but now nothing. Any help?

With the pro version can i change the ps3 widget to the landscape one? It shows me 2 pictures but i cant pic which one i want.
It’s the same for both version. There is 1 picture for portrait and 1 for landscape in every template. Thats are fixed.

.Hey can you add on the widget custome update times 15 min just isn’t enough and I don’t know if its because of psn but it doesn’t update unless I go into the app to do it and then go back and hit refresh. Also notifications do not work very well it has only done it once and he was on all day. Also my trophies are not updating every elses are yet mine remain the same even though the website says they are not, maybe this is again due to psn . And on a side note can you add some psn features if any come out that can be done through the website, and they have an app like this now on facebook check it out it might be helpful

The ones below are me but when I said psn I truly said psn plus but it didn’t like my plus signs I guess
I isolated the issue with updating the widget requires the app to be updated yet the app must be done manually so an option for auto there might help or syncing the to to work as one having them seperate is not helpful for it. But could you make notifications appear in the bar not just the light and have a list of who is currently on on the notification list. Other than that this is a great app I’m glad I updated. Oh and when I was pushing your app to its limits it doesn’t like multitouch when sideways on the friends screen on an android always causes crash of program.
Notifications should appear on the notificacion bar!!!
all the friends that are online (that were offline) should appear in the bar!!, then the sound and the light!!

Are you referring to de psn friends widget? or the ps3 trophies pro (that includes the widget) or the free version ?
I’m on pro when a friend goes on on my notification list the light goes on and until I click on the widget when the screen goes off blinks yet no notification in the bar. But I have only had that happen once the other time it was there. This was on the motorola droid. Also I would take a look at the notification it doesn’t work unless the main app is updated by hand then when the widget auto updates the notification light pops up this should not work like this but more independently or a better connection between the two so that they are one (its clear they are not right now)
oh yeah and if you ever need a tester ill help I do a lot of betas
I isolated my issue with my friends not updating on the widget it appers when the command is given for the app to update it fails and it gives me when viewing just a vanilla “unable to update” error so it shouldn’t be too hard to fix maybe its just me but everything else works fine now except it identifying which friends are on. It takes forever and it will only give one of them to get it to give me another the phone must be reset.
Just updated to pro, love the app. What are ur plans for future updates? Maybe some psn plus identifies? Also I know people bugging you about messaging but if sony does allow it in the future will u eventually support it? Once again love ur app. Great job

the app is down or something i logged into my ps and it works flawlessly so somethings wrong with the prog please fix asap keeps saying doesnt exist or psn is down which i verified both are working my acct and psn

Make sure you sync trophies on your PS3.
Server checks for new trophies every 6 hours or so.

a) when I’m logged in with the trophies app, do I appear online to my friends?
b) sending/receiving messages would be the cherry on top of this cake. Does PSN support this (API?) and you need only some help with it?

Hi can you tell me why my trophies update but the games I got them in don’t appear
I purchased the pro version 14th august but logging in and refreshing are not working all the time. I had same prob just after I bought the app 1min I log in and refresh friend widget next min I’m getting error and login failed. Any thoughts or tips on this otherwise I might have to go to free version until pro is fixed

I was not able to get the Spiderman Little Big Planet code to work, it keep giving me an error message.

Ive read on a forum someone who used this app had their log in info used by someone else and that person bought a bunch of stuff from the PSN store with their account! Is this possible??!!
I dont think so.
email & password are stored on the phone and are only send to SONY using HTTPS (secure) to log in the user. All other comunications are using a sessionId provided by SONY and this value is only valid for a period of time..
There is no way that using this app someone could access email or password.

Since the new update the large widget stopped working on my phone (mytouch 3g slide). Also do you plan on adding the compare function again? When do u give out the free psn codes. Keep up the good work this app is awesome. I love the pro version
Are you using the PS3 Trophies PRO Widget or PSN Friends Widget PRO ?
The compare feature will be back in the next release.

I am using both the trophies and the friends widget. I just tried again and the large friends widget works fine now, so it was probably mine phone. That’s awesome news about the compare feature. If I could give a suggestion for a future release. It would be awesome to see trophy guides asociated with games. I really like http://www.ps3trophies.com for guides, they are user created on forums and very useful for trophy whoring.
If you go to Trophies List on PS3 Trophies PRO, you can see that 3 games have the GUIDE button. I will add buttons to most games.
PS3Trophies.com doesn’t want me to point my app to his guides :(.

Is there a reason that when I go to friends that it doesnt show all of my friends? It will only show like 12 out my 90 friends. I just purchase the app so does that have anything to do with it? did input my log in info.

I’m working on this (try tu pull the friend list from USA site), but there is nothing I can do about it right know. I just hope that SONY EU solved their problems soon.

PS3 Trophis PRO (using the Friend WIDGET ) allows you to be notified when a friend is online

Hey gr8 app my friend, excellent work but im currently having probs with the eu blog not updating even after pressing refresh it hasnt updated since 17th feb
How often does the “Average % Game Completion” stat get updated? It doesn’t seem like it changes very often or at least not when I get a bunch of new trophies. Thanks.
It should change everytime you earn a trophy (by a small ammount if you have lots of games)

hey, I’m having trouble refreshing my main profile page on the app since I updated to the newest version. there used to be a manual refresh option when I pressed menu but now there isn’t and I’ve rebooted my phone, stopped and restarted the app and my trophies still won’t update. please help. otherwise I love the app.

Yes, it will work with ps4 trophies as it is (only downside it those will appear as PS3 trophies, but im working on an update)
